Title Practice 15 Minutes

Consider – Why

Jul 20, 2021

Before beginning, if you haven’t already, please take 5 minutes to read the 5Ws and 1H. Within it, I begin to consider my why, which ultimately evoloved into this Extraordinary the Ordinary space.

As it turns out my whys are plentiful and conflicting – they are shaped by my past, motivating my present, and influencing my future. Ultimately, as I considered and continue to revisit and review my why, I have come to make quite a moving.

What would happen if you took 15 minutes to consider your why?

Guidelines –

Grab a soothing or special beverage, find a comfy space, and let yourself just wonder –

Who am I today?

What do I want for myself?

When will I begin?

Where will it start?

How will I maintain this motive?

Why does it matter? Why now? Just plain why?

Perhaps that voice isn’t coming through loud or clear. That’s ok. Just sit and be curious.

What is your why today?

Can you remember a time when you felt intensely about a why?

If you were to imagine a why for someone dear, what would that look like?

What might they envision for you?

Jot down the sensations and messages coming through during this practice.

Does it invigorate or overwhelm?

Did it feel too hard to get to, or come easily?

Could you try again tomorrow – a 15 minute practice of self care – considering your why?

We all have different stories. I find it important to recognize that one person’s healing is another person’s hurt.

As you try this Consider – Why practice, and please reach out if any  uncomfortable or overwhelming sensations do arise.

The Mental Health Matters Resource Library is a place to start.
It may feel like it, but you are never alone.
