There’s no doubt that my life is relatively comfy. We have enough and a buffer, and these days that feels like good fortune.
And still, there is plenty in life that I find overwhelming and incessant and most mundane.
I can find it hard to balance the gratitude and the banal.
As I progress, I’m discovering that for every pro there’s a con, for every hope there’s a fear, for every choice there’s a consequence, so the best I can sustain is to seek serenity in maintaining a balance between what I can control and what I cannot – one choice at a time.
Just like my dad used to say.
And you know what, the more into life I get, the more I believe him.
I hope this maintenance practice evolves into a space where I can contemplate the complexities and grey areas of life. While also hosting a catalog of my favorite distractions in the form of podcasts, audiobooks, and favorite media, which I can assure you is unsophisticated and purely for pleasure.
If any of this sounds appealing to your station in life, I hope you’ll peek around and come back for more. Like everything these days, I have the best of intentions until life gets in the way.
